When should I book my newborn session?

I normally book out 3-6 months in advance, so it is best to book  your newborn session while you are in your second trimester. I only accommodate a certain number of newborns per month so the earlier you secure your spot, the better! A non refundable retainer fee is required when booking your session.

Due dates are estimates. How do we set a date?

Once booked, I will pencil in your due date on my calendar.   As soon as baby arrives, we will schedule the exact date and time of the session.  Newborn sessions MUST be done in the first 14 days of life (preferably between 7-12 days-old), so it is imperative that you contact me as soon as possible after your little one arrives.

How long do newborn sessions last?

A typical newborn session can last anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on the baby. This allows for plenty of time for extra feedings and soothing.

Where does the session take place?

In my studio or in the comfort of your home.

Can you travel to clients that do not live in your area?

Yes, I love to travel.  Additional travel fees do apply if client does not live within a 25 mile radius of Hernando, MS. Travel fee will be discussed upon inquiry.

What should my baby wear?

I have spent years collecting cute little props and delicate hats and headbands for newborn photo shoot so no need to bring a thing. However if you have something special than by all means bring it.  I will figure a way to work it into your session.

Who can I bring to my session?

My studio is very small. If possible, I prefer to keep it just us. It is very important to maintain a quiet and calm atmosphere. Baby must be asleep for the majority of the posing therefore keeping noise and distractions down is a priority. If you have other children you would like photographed with your baby we will start with those images first. This way you do not have to plan on keeping your other children at the studio for the duration of the photo shoot. I usually suggest for Mom & Dad come in two cars for this reason.

Maternity sessions

I recommend having your portraits taken between 32-34 weeks, this way we see plenty of baby bump and your more likely to be comfortable.

How long before my images are ready?

Typical turnaround time is 3-4 weeks.
